The price of winter vegetables is high

Winter vegetables have started to grow in the market. Of course, it is difficult for the limited income people to buy it because of high prices. Now the market is selling new potatoes at Tk 120-140 per kg. And the price of the old potato is 25-30kg per kg. The price of other new vegetables is also a few times more than usual.

The price of vegetables in the market has also increased slightly more than last week. Also the egg prices rise as before. However, the price of onion fell slightly. The price of broiler chicken, beef and fish is slightly lower than before.

Among the new vegetables in the market have been found bean, cauliflower, cabbage, new potato, onion leaves and radishes. In the capital's Mirpur 6 market, on Thursday, every kg of beef, 120 rupees per month, medium sized cauliflower 60 rupees, cabbage 40 rupees, new potato 140 rupees, onion leaves 80 rupees per kg, and radish 60 rupees vendors. Besides, new fresh round and tall brinjal Rs 70-80 per kg, fresh domestic gram Tk 70, machets, shrimp and chichinga 50-60 rupees, raw papaya 30 taka and barat 60 rupees.

Traders said that the best quality vegetables come from the market in the market is to sell vegetables. Because of this, prices are higher than other places.

Local resident Mofizur Rahman was shopping at market number 6 in Mirpur. He said, now a lot of fresh vegetables are available. But prices seem to be 15-20 taka more than last week. Regarding the fish market, he said, local fish are available in the market after the monsoon. Whereas native, horn, patty, tangra and mini fish are less than other times.

Vegetable prices in Karwan Bazar are comparatively lower. There, in the case of sellers, the price of KG Sheem @ 80 rupees, Cauliflower 30, 40 and 50 rupees, Cabbage 25 and 30 rupees, Radish 30 rupees, new potatoes to sell at 100 rupees.
