The mobile number portability (mobile number portability - MNP) will be launched in the experimental trial on Monday.
Acting Chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Jahirul Haque said that the service will start after 12 midnight.
Besides, a press conference was held at the BTRC office on Monday morning.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar said that after receiving a good response, the program will be officially launched.
BTRC has set a fee of 50 taka for customer service at the customer level. After the application for MNP, the customer will have to wait 72 hours and if a customer wants to go back to the old operator, he will have to wait for 90 days after the operator changes.
