ADB will provide Tk 5,100 crore for two projects


The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will give 61 billion dollar loan to two projects in primary education and urban areas. The amount of money in the figure of Tk. 5 thousand 100 crore On Thursday, two separate agreements signed between the Economic Relations Division (ERD) and the ADB were signed.

ERD Secretary Kazi Shafiqur Azam and ADB Country Director Manmohan Prakash signed the agreement. This agreement was made at the ERD conference room of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital. In this, senior officials of both sides were present.

50 million dollars or 4 thousand 200 crores will be given in the fourth primary education development program (PEDP-4). Under this project, 1 crore 86 lakh students will be benefited. At the same time, 65 thousand primary schools will be developed. Besides, the efficiency of 340,000 teachers will be increased.
