70 leaders of the BNP tilakake appeal


On Saturday, the Election Commission (EC) appealed to get 114 more eleven parliamentary elections. In response to EC decision against returning officials, the total number of 242 candidates got recovered in the last three days.

In the selection of eleven parliamentary elections, the nomination papers of 3,657 people across the country were canceled on December 2, 786. However, all the EC did not appeal. On the last day of the appeals hearing, the appeal of several senior leaders including BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was settled. Khaleda Zia, BNP chairperson's advisor Aman Ullah, Krishak Sramik Janata League President Kader Siddiqui's nomination appeal was considered illegal and they did not return the candidacy.

Gonoforam general secretary Mostafa Mohsin Montu, former BNP leader Morshed Khan, Afroza Abbas and Nadim Mustafa, BNP's former BNP minister Nazmul Huda, were given the candidacy.

Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukdar, Rafiqul Islam, Kabita Khanam and Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury took the appeal while Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda took the appeal. Many candidates themselves, some participated in the hearing through a lawyer.

Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon appealed to BNP's Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas to cancel the nomination of the Dhaka-8 constituency for secret information. After the hearing, EC Menon rejected the appeal. As a result, Mirza Abbas's nomination is valid.

Riazuddin (Chandpur-4), Mamming (Bandarban), Morshed Khan (Chittagong-8), Abu Bakar Siddiq (Rajshahi -5), Abu Sahid Chand (Rajshahi-6), Fakir Mahbub Anam Swapan (Tangail-1), Md. Kafil Uddin (Dhaka-19), Kazi Nazmul Hossain (Brahmanbaria-5), A Ahmed Baker Billah (Nilphamari-1) and Md. Nadim Mustafa (Rajshahi-5)

Independent candidates are Nutan Kumar Chakma (Khagrachari), Alaya Begum (Joypurhat-1), Ali Alam (Sirajganj-5), Md. Abdul Wahed (Nilphamari-3) and Merajuddin Molla (Rajshahi-3).

Elections will be held on December 30 for the eleventh parliamentary elections. The last day of nomination papers was on November 29. Then on December 2 the nomination papers were selected. Returning officers, including BNP, Jatiya Party, were also strong candidates of different parties, while canceling 786 out of 3,565 nomination papers submitted for contesting 300 parliamentary seats in the election. As a candidate of BNP, 696 nomination papers have been submitted to 295 seats in this election. And the candidates of the Awami League government have submitted the nomination papers of 264 seats in 264 seats.
