Ashuganj-Kishoreganj in Brahmanbaria due to the error of 132 KV transmission line, all units of Ashuganj thermal power plant were closed simultaneously. The production comes down to the empty quota. The national power grid reduces to 1146 MW. It immediately stopped the electricity supply in the area around the factory.

The disaster occurred in the production of Ashuganj power plant at around 8:30 am on Sunday morning. After the closure of 14 units, the factory's own engineers tried to run 12 units in phases, but still two units are closed.

According to the telegraph department of the power plant, it is known that if all the units of power plant are closed in a sudden noise, there is a sudden error in Ashuganj-Kishoreganj national transmission line on Sunday morning. Later, the factory's own engineers tried to get back the production of 9 units of the factory in phases gradually after 3 hours. After the evening, the units of 150-megawatt unit-3 and 4-megawatt power-efficient gas engine units will return to production again.

However, until the report was written, the 225 MW CapPC and 55 MW capacity assembly unit are still closed. The electricity plant's own engineers are trying to turn off the units that are closed.

Chief Engineer of Ashuganj thermal power plant Shah Alam Khan said that the factory was closed due to low demand but there was no shortage of electricity. Most units were started. Two units are being tried in the night.
